KB2302020801 - How to Verify the Account into Citrix ShareFile as a Client

In this knowledge-based, we will outline the instruction for verifying the Citrix ShareFile account as a client once receiving a Welcome Email confirmation from Citrix ShareFile Support.

In minor cases, the client email security system end might have an advanced URL protection where replacing the content (https://xxx.sharefile.com/) with something else. This might not work on verifying the Citrix ShareFile account below.

In this case, we would suggest using the client cloud share application such as Microsoft Teams, Dropbox, or Google Drive instead of our Citrix ShareFile.

 Instructions

Step-by-step Guide:

  • You received an email from XXX Support (mail@sf-notifications.com) with the Subject of XXX Support has shared the folder ‘XXX’ with you.

  • Open the email.

  • Click the link “Click here to activate your account and view this folder”.

  • This will open up a browser with the following page:

  • Enter the right First Name, Last Name, Company, and phone number.

The phone number will be used as Multi Factor Authentication later on.

  • Select either Text (SMS) or Voice Call to receive the code notification.

  • Click the Continue button.

  • In some cases, the link might be expired.

    If that is the case, click the Request New Activation Link button.

    You will receive another email. Click the Activate account link and this time from ShareFile Support <mail@sf-notifications.com>



    This will take you to verify the name and phone number.


  • Depending on your choice, you will receive either SMS or a phone call.


  • Enter the code accordingly and click the Verify button.

  • Enter and confirm the password to create your password, and then click the Save and Sign In button.

  • Either select the Text Message or Voice Call to verify the account. Then click the Back to Sign in button.

     

  • Enter the code again to verify. Click the Verify button.
