KB2002011901 - How to reset the router of NBN/fibre internet service
This knowledge base is created to the users who need to reset the router and NBN service due to the internet is stop working. This article covers the Telstra NBN, Optus NBN and Vodafone NBN devices.

Instructions
Telstra NBN
Step-by-step guide:
Locate the router at the office room/server room/server rack/communication room/communication rack.
On the device, check the lights and notify the IT admin:
Power: blue or not
Internet: blue or not
WAN: blue or not
Voice: blue or not
Wi-Fi On/Off: blue or not
WPS: Off
DECT: Off
Look at the back of the router. To turn off, press the On/Off button to turn off and wait for 5 seconds.
To turn back on, press the On/Off again.
Wait for one minute or so, to see the lights back to normal:
Power: blue or not
Internet: blue or not
WAN: blue or not
Voice: blue or not
Wi-Fi On/Off: blue or not
WPS: Off
DECT: OffGo to any machine prefer a wired connection device.
Open the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browse.
Go to http://www.google.com and verify if the web site is up or not.
Optus NBN
Step-by-step guide:
For the HFC connection, Optus uses 2 devices: Optus and NBN HFC Arris CM8200.
Prior following this step, Information Technology (IT) admin has given you the location and label of the device (if any).
Locate the router at the office room/server room/server rack/communication room/communication rack.
On the device, check the the lights and notify the IT admin:

Vodafone NBN
Step-by-step guide:
For the FTTC connection, Vodafone uses 2 devices: Vodafone Wi-Fi Hub and NBN FTTC Network Connection Device.
Prior following this step, Information Technology (IT) admin has given you the location and label of the device (if any).
Locate the router at the office room/server room/server rack/communication room/communication rack.
On the device, check the the lights and notify the IT admin:
Power: solid green or not
Internet: blinking green or not
Wifi: blinking green or not
3G/4G: solid green or not.
Look at the back of the router. To turn off, press the On/Off button to turn off and wait for 5 seconds.
To turn back on, press the On/Off again.
Wait for one minute or so, to see the lights back to normal:
Power: solid green
Internet: blinking green
Wifi: blinking green
3G/4G: no lightGo to any machine prefer a wired connection device.
Open the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browse.
Go to http://www.google.com and verify if the web site is up or not.If resetting the router still not fixed the internet issue, check the lights on NBN FTTC Network Connection Device as follow (left to right):
LAN: Blinking blue
DSL: Solid blue
Connection: Solid blue
Power: Solid blue
Report to the IT admin.
