KB2104010701 - How to allow IT admin accessing the phone remotely

This knowledge base is created for the users who need an Information Technology (IT) help by allowing IT admin to access the phone remotely. The IT Administrator uses a Splashtop SOS as a remote access application.

Step-by-step guide:

  • Prior giving access remotely to the IT technician, close all running applications on any screens. User also needs to know the Apple ID and password to access the Apple Store.

  • Open the App Store application.

 

  • Under Search field, type in Splashtop SOS.

 

  • Tap the Search button.

 

  • Next to the Splashtop SOS app, tap the GET button. Once the app being downloaded, tap the Open button.

  • Wait for few seconds until 9 digits code appears.

     

The code will be generated randomly.

  • Share the code with the IT technician.

  • Once the technician connected to the device, tap the button and start broadcast to share the screen.

 

  • Under the Screen Broadcast window, ensure the Splashtop SOS been ticked and then tap the Start Broadcast.

     

  • The technician will see the screen.

Only the phone user can control the device. The technician is not be able to control of the device.

  • Once it’s done, back to the Splashtop SOS application and tap the Disconnect button.
